Step 1: Generate a Pinterest Backup Access Token

1. Open Pinterest Ads Manager

• Log in to your Pinterest Ads Manager account.

• On your Pinterest Ads Manager homepage, click on the Pinterest button in the upper-left corner of the page.

2. Open Conversions Settings

• From the top menu, go to “Manage business” → “Conversions.”

• This will open the settings where you can configure conversion tracking.

3. Generate a Conversion Access Token

• In the left-hand menu, select “Conversion API.”

• From the dropdown menu, click on “Set up API.”

• On the “Set up Conversions API” page, scroll down to the section titled “Generate conversion access token.”

• Click “Generate new token.”

• A new access token will be generated. Copy the token as you’ll need it for TrackBee.

Step 2: Add Your Pinterest Backup Token to TrackBee

1. Open your TrackBee dashboard.

2. Go to “Stores” → The store you want to add the back-up access token to.

3. Scroll down to Pinterest and enable the "Enable back-up access token" toggle.

4. Paste the access token you copied from Pinterest into the Backup Access Token field.

5. Click “Save.”

How It Works

TrackBee will continue using the main Pinterest SSO connection for conversion tracking. If the SSO connection drops or expires, TrackBee will automatically switch to the backup token to prevent tracking interruptions.
