Understanding the Error

Your Primary Access Token is your main connection from your store to the advertising platform. When it expires or becomes invalid, data synchronization stops, potentially creating gaps in your tracking and reporting. For this reason, it’s important to keep the connection up to date. In this help article, we will inform you about further actions you can take to prevent potential data loss.

How to Fix the Error

Open your TrackBee Overview and click on “Go to store”. This will navigate you to the affected store and platform which requires specific attention. Here, you will see the following error:

  • Click "Restore your connection"

  • Follow the authentication steps to re-establish the connection

  • Navigate to the connection check to verify the restoration

  • If successful, you will see the following pop-up and the notification in your TrackBee overview will disappear

Attention Point

In some cases you will see the option “Remove Connection” instead of “Restore your connection”. In that case, make sure to remove your connection, and afterwards re-add the connection by clicking on “Add Connection”.

Prevent Future Data Loss

To safeguard against data gaps, set up a Backup Access Token for each platform using these guides:

Enabling this Backup Access Token ensures continuous data collection even if your Primary Access Token fails.

Completion

Congratulations! By following these steps you have made sure that your Primary Access token is renewed, ensuring accurate revenue attribution and reporting.
