Introduction

Using server-side tracking, it ensures unparalleled data visibility. Where traditional client-side tracking falters, TrackBee thrives, further enhancing data with advanced machine learning. This guide will walk you through setting up TrackBee on Shopify for optimal tracking.

There are 4 basic steps to get your account fully setup:


Pre-Installation Checklist

This guide will walk you through the necessary actions to be taken in preparation for setting up your TrackBee account.

Before installing TrackBee to optimize your e-commerce tracking, it's essential to ensure

specific settings are correctly updated. This pre-installation checklist aims to provide a

smooth experience and ensure TrackBee functions without hitches.

1. Disable Password on Webshop:

  • Ensure that the password protection feature on your webshop is turned off. TrackBee requires unrestricted access to your site during the integration process.

2. Disable External Tracking Applications:

  • To prevent any data discrepancies or conflicts, please disable or uninstall any external tracking applications you might have previously used on your webshop.

3. Review and Clean Additional Scripts:

  • Navigate to the scripts section of your store.

  • Thoroughly review any scripts, especially those related to tracking or analytics.

  • Delete any scripts that contain pixel-related information to ensure there's no conflict with TrackBee's functionalities.

Important: If you're uncertain about a particular script or its functionality, please capture a screenshot before deletion. Send this screenshot to our customer service team for further guidance.

Setting up your TrackBee account

This guide will walk you through the process of setting up a TrackBee account in preparation for integration with your Shopify store.

1. Access Account Creation:

  • From the TrackBee website, navigate to the top right corner.

  • Click on “create your free account”.

2. Choose a Sign-Up method:

  • We offer three options to create an account:

    • Sign up with Apple

    • Sign up with Google

    • Sign up with your Email address

  • Select the option most convenient to you.

3. Agree to Terms and Conditions:

  • Before proceeding, ensure you read and understand the terms and conditions.

  • Click on the “Accept” button to agree.

4. Welcome to the TrackBee Dashboard:

  • After successfully creating your account, you will be automatically redirected to the TrackBee dashboard.

  • This dashboard is where you'll manage and view your e-commerce tracking data.

5. Enter Organization Information:

  • From the TrackBee dashboard, navigate to the personal settings in the top right corner.

  • Select “Organisation”.

  • Enter all relevant information pertaining to your organization.

  • Click “Save” to confirm and store this information.

Completion:

Congratulation! Your TrackBee account has been setup!


Add Shopify stores to TrackBee

This guide will walk you through the process of adding your Shopify store to TrackBee for improved e-commerce tracking.

1. Navigate to the Stores Page:

  • Access the TrackBee dashboard.

  • Go to the "stores" page.

2. Name Your Store:

  • Enter your Shopify store's name as you want it to appear within TrackBee.

Note: You can change this name at a later time if needed.

3. Install the TrackBee App:

An on-screen installation guide will be presented to assist you through the process.

  • Click on the provided installation link "Install the app"

  • Follow the steps to install the TrackBee app on your Shopify store.

4. Generate an API Key:

  • After you've installed the app and it asks for a API key, return to the TrackBee tab that is still open and click on next to go to the second step of adding your store.

  • Copy the generated API key.

5. Enter the API Key in Shopify:

  • Access the TrackBee app within your Shopify dashboard.

  • Paste the generated API key.

6. Enable App Embed:

You will be automatically directed to the App Embed settings. If not, follow the subsequent steps.

  • Navigate to App Embed Settings:

    • In your Shopify dashboard, go to "Online Store".

    • Click on "Customize store".

    • On the left side, select "app embeds".

    • Enable App Embed

7. Validate the app embed:

  • Return to the TrackBee platform.

  • Check and confirm the app embed is turned on for the TrackBee app.

8. Validate the connection

  • Click on Next to validate the connection status.

  • Optional: You can click on "Detect duplicate" tracking where we will check your store for any conflicting tracking solutions that will cause data duplication.

Completion:

Congratulations! Your Shopify store has been connected to TrackBee!

Add ad accounts / pixels to your TrackBee store

This guide will walk you through the process of synchronizing your Ad accounts / Pixels to TrackBee to enhance your e-commerce tracking capabilities.

General Instructions:

To install the ad pixels for your store using TrackBee:

  • Navigate to the TrackBee dashboard.

  • Select "Stores."

  • Choose the store for which you want to install the ad pixels.

Note: An installation guide will be present to assist you with installing the Access Token. If you require additional help to find the Pixel ID’s or a more extensive guide to installing the access tokens, please follow the guide below.

Required: Pixel-ID and Access Token

Pixel-ID:

  • Log into Facebook and navigate to your ads manager account.

  • From the navigation panel, go to "Events Manager."

  • Your Pixel-ID should be visible below the site.

  • Copy the PixelID and paste it into the appropriate field in TrackBee.

Access Token:

  • Following from the Pixel-ID instructions, click on the Pixel-ID.

  • Navigate to the settings.

  • Scroll down to "Conversions API."

  • Generate the access token.

  • Copy the token and paste it into TrackBee.

TikTok:

Required: TikTok Login

Login:

  • Click on the "Connect TikTok" button.

  • You will be redirected to the TikTok Business login page.

  • Login with your TikTok Business account to validate the connection.

Pinterest:

Required: Pinterest Login

Login:

  • Click on the "Connect Pinterest" button.

  • You will be redirected to the Pinterest login page.

  • Login with your Pinterest account to validate the connection.

Completion:

Congratulations! Your Ad Pixels have been connected to TrackBee!
