Introduction:

When using TrackBee alongside other advertising platforms, you might notice some variations in the data presented by TrackBee's real-time dashboard compared to those of the ad platforms. It's important to understand that these discrepancies are common and stem from different processing methods and data handling practices. This article aims to clarify why these differences occur and how you can interpret the data effectively.

Important Notice:
Without UTM Parameters, TrackBee's tracking will still be available at full capacity. However, it's important to note that these parameters are essential for the functionality of specific features, such as the real-time ad dashboard and profit calculator. The absence of UTM parameters means you will not be able to fully utilize these particular features, which rely on them for accurate data tracking and analysis.

Reasons for Data Discrepancies

  1. Immediate vs. Delayed Processing: TrackBee’s dashboard updates almost instantaneously, while ad platforms often have processing times, leading to delayed data updates.

  2. Influence of Third-Party Tracking: Some third-party tracking apps can interfere with data collection, causing inconsistencies. We recommend evaluating these apps or replacing them as needed.

  3. Estimations in Ad Platforms: Platforms like Meta often display estimated data, which might differ from actual figures. These estimations are based on expected events and may not always align with real-time data.

  4. Bugs in Ad Platform Dashboards: Occasionally, bugs in ad platform dashboards may result in no data being displayed or exaggerated figures, even when TrackBee tracks the data accurately.

Navigating These Differences

While these discrepancies can be challenging, understanding where they come from can give you a deeper understanding of where to look.
We recommend the use of our Real-Time Dashboard to make sure you have the most accurate data without external influences.
