The TrackBee App Embed is a small script that runs on your storefront through Shopify's theme system. It captures browser-side data that TrackBee needs to accurately track events and send them to your advertising platforms.
The App Embed must be enabled for TrackBee to work correctly. If it is turned off, your tracking will be incomplete.
What the App Embed Does
The App Embed allows TrackBee to:
Capture visitor and purchase events on your storefront
Collect browser signals needed for advanced conversion matching
Connect browser data with server-side tracking for better attribution
Continue tracking even when browsers block traditional scripts
Without it, TrackBee can only work server-side, which means less data, fewer matched conversions, and lower accuracy across your ad platforms.
What Happens If the App Embed Is Turned Off
Reduced conversion matching
TrackBee uses browser signals for advanced matching on platforms like Meta and Google. Without these signals, your ad platforms will recognize fewer conversions.
Missing tracking data
Some browser events will no longer be captured, which can lead to missing orders in your TrackBee dashboard and lower reported attribution in ad platforms.
Degraded server-side tracking
Complete tracking depends on browser signals to connect events to users. Without the App Embed, this connection breaks and tracking events become less reliable.
How to Check If App Embed Is Enabled
To verify that the App Embed is active:
Go to your Shopify Admin
Navigate to Online Store > Themes
Click Customize
Open the App Embeds section
Make sure TrackBee App Embed is toggled ON

When You Should Check This
Itโs a good idea to verify the App Embed if:
You recently changed your theme
Tracking accuracy dropped unexpectedly
Orders are missing from your advertising platforms
You are setting up Trackbee for the first time
Shopify theme changes and updates can sometimes disable app embeds automatically.
