When reviewing your tracking data in Trackbee or your advertising platforms, it’s important to understand that conversion data is not always processed in real time. Each ad platform has its own processing time before events appear in their reporting dashboards.
Because of this, it is normal to see a temporary difference between Shopify and the platforms.
Why Data Delays Happen
When a conversion happens, Trackbee sends the event to the advertising platform using server-side tracking. After receiving the event, the platform still needs to:
Process the event
Match it to a user
Attribute it to a campaign or ad
Add it to reporting
This processing takes time, which creates a delay between when the event is sent and when it becomes visible in the platform’s reporting.
Typical Processing Times
Each platform processes data at a different speed.
Meta
Meta typically processes events within 48 hours.
During this time, events may already appear as sent in Trackbee, but may not yet be visible in Meta Ads Manager.
TikTok
TikTok also processes conversion events within approximately 48 hours.
Similar to Meta, this delay is part of their attribution and matching process.
Google Ads
Google Ads may take up to 72 hours to process and display conversion events.
This delay happens because Google runs additional verification and attribution checks before adding conversions to reporting.
Pinterest can take up to 72 hours for events to fully appear in reporting.
This is part of their conversion processing and attribution model.
What This Means for Your Tracking
Because of these processing times:
The conversions may appear later in your ad platform
Temporary differences between dashboards are normal
For the most accurate comparison, we recommend waiting the full processing window before evaluating performance.
Best Practice When Checking Data
When reviewing tracking performance:
Compare data that is at least 2–3 days old
Avoid judging performance based on same-day conversions
Use Trackbee’s Accuracy page to monitor how many conversions are being sent and attributed
This ensures you are looking at fully processed data instead of incomplete reporting.
If You Still See Large Differences
If you notice significant differences after the processing window has passed, we recommend checking:
Your connections
Your App Embed
Your tracking accuracy page
If everything looks correct but the difference remains, our team can help review your setup.
