Introduction

Trackbee aims to offer you the most precise social media tracking and attribution for your e-commerce store. However, occasional discrepancies in data can arise due to various factors.

Sometimes, the data in Shopify does not match that in Trackbee.

This guide has been created to address and rectify any such inconsistencies.

We split these data inconsistencies into three categories:

Over-tracking in Trackbee

Over-tracking Defined:

Over-tracking occurs when the system reports more events, interactions, or transactions than actually took place. It's essential to understand and address this to ensure accurate data representation.

Trackbee is designed to ensure that over-tracking is not possible. We have implemented

safeguards to ensure data integrity, so you can be confident that any increase in metrics is genuine and not a result of double-counting or similar errors.

If anything still feels off or you have any queries, don't hesitate to send our customer service team a message. Our team's always here to help!

Under-tracking in Trackbee

Under-tracking Defined:

Under-tracking occurs when the system reports fewer events, interactions, or transactions than actually took place. It's essential to understand and address this to ensure accurate data representation.

1. Shopify Webhooks:

Occasionally, Shopify may remove certain webhooks, leading to inconsistent data capture on our end. While we have proactive measures, including a periodic script that reinstates these webhooks, checking and updating every 15 minutes, there's a potential interval where some orders may not be recorded.

Recommended Action:

We're diligently working on a more automated solution to bridge this gap. In the meantime, should you notice any discrepancies related to this, we encourage you to reach out to our customer service team. They are equipped to assist and ensure all orders are accurately represented in your data.

2. Third-Party Shopify Apps:

Specific third-party Shopify applications may impede the effectiveness of our tracking.

Notably, apps like "Ultimate sticky add to cart" or "Kaching bundle" can disrupt the seamless recording of Add-to-Carts (ATCs).

Recommended Action:

If you are utilizing such applications and notice inconsistencies in your ATC tracking, consider either reconfiguring or discontinuing their use. If the discrepancies persist or you're unsure about the next steps, our customer service team is readily available to guide you and provide tailored solutions. Your accurate data representation is of utmost importance to us at Trackbee. Always feel free to reach out with any concerns or questions, and our team will be on hand to assist.

Misattribution in Trackbee

Misattribution defined:

Misattribution occurs when the system assigns events, interactions, or transactions to the incorrect source or cause. It's essential to understand and address this to ensure accurate data representation.

Trackbee is meticulously engineered to prevent any issues related to misattribution. Our

robust systems ensure that every event or action is correctly attributed to its rightful source. In the rare instance, we identify anything that could cause misattribution, rest assured, we always fix it as soon as possible.

If you ever suspect any issues or discrepancies related to misattribution in your data, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer service team. They are always happy to assist and ensure a seamless experience with Trackbee.
