Introduction

When setting up the Google Conversion Booster in TrackBee, you might encounter the error “Conversion actions have wrong types”. This means that one or more of your conversion actions in Google Ads are assigned incorrect types—for example, the ORDER_BOOSTER conversion action is marked as “Webpage” instead of “Import from clicks”. Correct conversion action types are essential for accurate tracking and optimization of your ad campaigns. This guide will help you understand why this error occurs and how to fix it.

What Does “Conversion actions have wrong types” Mean?

In Google Ads, each conversion action has a specific type that determines how conversion data is collected, such as “Website”, “App”, “Phone calls”, or “Import from clicks”. The error indicates that:

• One or more of your conversion actions have incorrect types.

• For example, the ORDER_BOOSTER conversion action is incorrectly marked as “Webpage” instead of “Import from clicks”.

Incorrect types can lead to inaccurate data and affect your campaign optimization, as Google Ads may not properly record conversions from your ads.

Follow these steps to update the types of your conversion actions in Google Ads:

2. Navigate to Goals > Summary: Click the goals icon in the left bar, then click the conversions drop down and select the Summary.
